Ted Egger is an American college football coach currently serving as Head Football Coach at Hilbert College, a position he has held since 2023. He leads the Hawks’ football program through its early seasons of competition as the team transitions into the Liberty League. 

Egger began his coaching career shortly after playing defensive back at Lock Haven University, where he also earned his bachelor’s degree in health and physical education. He later completed a master’s degree in human performance and education at Adams State University

Before his current role, Egger was head coach at Hocking College and Pearl River Community College, and he served in a variety of defensive coaching roles at several NCAA Division II programs, including Adams State, Concordia–St. Paul, Ferris State, Northwood, and Lock Haven. Throughout his career, his teams have achieved notable academic success and produced players who went on to professional opportunities. 

A native of Hornell, New York, Egger is known for his commitment to student-athlete development both on and off the field.
